Massage Therapists: perform the components of body massage therapy procedures and related tasks taught by a supervising massage therapist. These workers then graduate becoming massage therapists in providing services that help improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease. Clients can include accident victims and individuals with disabling conditions, such as low back pain, soft tissue injury, arthritis, heart disease, fractures, head injuries, and cerebral palsy. An increasing number of patients seek massage to help alleviate everyday stress and strains considering treatment as a gift of health. Many physical therapists refer patients to body massage therapists as a cost saving measure.
